Tembec uses the Ekho platform to manage performance parameters for 50 sites

Tembec has deployed the Ekho data management platform for all of its operating units to collect key performance energy and environmental data. The purpose of this initiative is to facilitate analysis by centralizing the collection of performance indicators in a single system and standardizing the data input models at all of its 50 mills.

Tembec installed the Spek application to simplify the control and monitoring of production settings. It also enables the management of data entry and display modes from a central point as the data is input from its mills. In addition to Spek, Tembec opted for two other Ekho applications: Look, the customized report manager software tool, which organizes information according to each authorized user’s settings; and Link, which it plans to use for in-depth data analysis.

The most substantial benefits that Tembec will derive from using Ekho relate to man-hour savings, particularly in terms of preparing performance reports, which used to take days, but now involves only a few hours of work.
