Mittal Canada installs the Ekho platform at its Contrecoeur steelworks

Mittal Canada is Canada’s fourth largest steel producer, and the only Canadian steelmaker that uses internally produced direct reduced iron (DRI) as its primary metallic input.

The Ekho platform was chosen for the user-friendliness of its tools in terms of monitoring and analyzing production processes and data.

Most of the applications that ITI offers will be installed for the purposes of monitoring production settings, tracing events, recording the history of manufactured goods, tracking downtimes and the various temporal stages of production, and producing reports for intranet distribution. They will also be used for in-depth data analysis.

The Ekho solutions will allow management, metallurgists, and maintenance personnel to quickly and easily monitor every stage of production, from the delivery of raw materials to the labelling of finished goods, with multiyear archives.
